English

This study aims to identify and explain the strategies, platforms, and barriers affecting the application of marketing mix components for electric vehicles on social media. Given the exploratory nature of the subject, a qualitative approach and a grounded theory research strategy were adopted. The participants comprised 19 academic experts (university professors in business administration) and industry practitioners (managers and executives in the electric vehicle industry and digital marketing specialists), selected through purposive sampling based on theoretical saturation. Data were collected through in-depth, semi-structured interviews and analyzed using thematic analysis with MAXQDA. The findings resulted in 94 basic themes, 18 organizing themes (components), and 6 overarching themes (dimensions). The results indicate that marketing mix platforms can be classified into two dimensions: "Social Media" (communication tools, data analytics, and digital advertising) and "Digital Marketing Infrastructure" (websites and online platforms, mobile applications, and augmented reality). Effective strategies were identified in two dimensions: "Human Resources" (professional employees, marketing teams, and influencers) and "Customer Orientation" (target customers, customer loyalty, and customer experience). The barriers were identified in two dimensions: "Accessibility" (charging infrastructure, online sales, and physical dealerships) and "Technology Adoption" (high initial costs, low public awareness, and concerns regarding vehicle performance). These findings indicate that successful marketing of electric vehicles on social media requires a systemic and integrated perspective on these three categories and their interactions. The theoretical framework derived from this study can serve as a roadmap for companies in this field, assisting marketing managers in designing and implementing effective strategies tailored to the Iranian market.
